STATISTICS

Much quoted statistics from the Safe Workplace Institute states that in 1993 work place violence cost $4.2 Billion and that 111,000 incidents were reported.

Around 65% of office workers have experienced office rage, and 45% of staff regularly lose their tempers at work say statistics for National Anger Awareness Week.

Further, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, about 500,000 victims of violent crime in the workplace lose an estimated 1.8 million workdays each year.

More than 1,000 people in the US die a year in road rage incidents.

The average office worker suffers ‘desk rage’ twice a day – with colleagues taking credit for our work, computer crashes and rude clients the most likely causes.
